Penetradar recently inspected the Yankee Doodle Bridge in Norwalk, CT using their four channel IRIS GPR System to determine deterioration levels in the reinforced concrete deck. The IRIS System allows for complete data collection of the bridge in a minimal number of passes at highway speeds (no lane closures).

Penetradar Corporation has returned from successful field training in Senegal, Africa. They have recently integrated Ground Penetrating Radar into their pavement management system in the development of new infrastructure throughout the country. This is the third country in Africa now currently using an IRIS GPR system.

Penetradar Corporation Technical Services Group recently conducted an inspection of 13 bridges on the Garden State Parkway in New Jersey over a 40 mile stretch to measure pavement thickness. Penetradar's high speed IRIS GPR system allowed for data collection without traffic interference on one of the busiest highways in the country.

Penetradar Corporation Technical Services Group recently conducted an inspection of 100 miles of roadway in New York and Indiana to investigate the structural integrity of the pavement. These roadways will be designed to accommodate the heavy payloads in the construction of wind turbines which will provide a substantial amount of renewable electricity to help with the growing demand in the area.

Penetradar Corporation Technical Services Group recently was contacted to perform non-destructive testing on Interstate 190 in downtown Buffalo, New York. This inspection includes the combination of ground penetrating radar (GPR), infrared thermography (IRT) and high resolution video of more than 400,000 square feet of the bridge deck.

Penetradar Corporation Technical Services Group has continued its strong sales of IRIS units by shipping out multiple orders of IRIS GPR systems to China and Africa recently. These systems will be used by customers for quality assurance to determine in-situ layer thickness and new pavement quantities. The shipment to Africa included overseas training and continued support through Skype.
