Bridge Deck – East Los Angeles, CA
A ground penetrating radar (GPR) inspection of 59 bridges in Los Angeles County, CA and the objective of the GPR inspection was to provide an up-to-date assessment of the physical condition of the concrete deck, including, quantity estimates of deteriorated concrete. The survey was conducted for the California Department of Transportation, District 6-0.
Bridge Deck - NJ Turnpike
A ground penetrating radar (GPR) inspection of five bridge decks was conducted on the Garden State Parkway in New Jersey. As part of this inspection was an evaluation of the asphalt shoulder depth for the leading and trailing approach on two of the bridges. A total of 135,757 square feet of bridge deck area was included in the survey. The objective of the GPR inspection was to provide an up-to-date assessment of the physical condition of the bridge deck concrete, including quantity estimates of delaminated and freeze-thaw damaged concrete as well as to determine the thickness of the asphalt overlay.
Bridge Deck - Peace Bridge - Buffalo, NY
A ground penetrating radar (GPR) inspection of the Peace Bridge deck was conducted and the objective of the GPR inspection was to provide an up-to-date assessment of the physical condition of the concrete deck, including, estimates of delaminated and debonded concrete. The survey was conducted for the Buffalo and Fort Erie Public Bridge Authority and Parsons Transportation Group.
Bridge Deck - West Virginia
A ground penetrating radar (GPR) inspection of the I-64 Dunbar-South Charleston bridge over the Kanawha River was conducted and the objective of the GPR inspection was to provide an up-to-date assessment of the physical condition of the I-64 bridge deck, including, quantity estimates of delaminated and debonded concrete. An aerial view of the I-64 bridge deck is shown in Figure 1. The survey was conducted for TY LIN International and the West Virginia Department of Transportation.
Bridge Deck - Pennsylvania
A ground penetrating radar (GPR) inspection of four SR 220 mainline bridge decks in Lycoming County, PA, was conducted and the objective of the GPR inspection was to provide an up-to-date assessment of the physical condition of the concrete decks, including, quantity esti-mates of delaminated and debonded concrete. The survey was conducted for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, District 3-0.
Bridge Deck - Pennsylvania

Bridge Deck - Pennsylvania
A ground penetrating radar (GPR) inspection of nine SR 380 mainline and overpass bridge decks in Lackawanna County, PA, was conducted and the objective of the GPR inspection was to provide an up-to-date assessment of the physical condition of the concrete decks, including, quantity estimates of delaminated, scaled and debonded concrete. Bridge Deck - Ohio
A Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) inspection of the northbound Hilliard-Rome bridge deck in Franklin County, OH, was conducted and the objective of the GPR inspection was to provide an up-to-date assessment of the physical condition of the concrete deck, including, quantity estimates of delaminated and debonded concrete. The survey was conducted for the Ohio Department of Transportation, District 6-0.
Geotechnical/Environmental Survey - Alaska
Subsurface evaluation of 4 miles of Harbor Mountain Road to determine the presence of voids, anomalies and deteriorated buried objects (trees).
Wall Inspection - New Jersey
A Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) investigation was conducted at the Lucent Building 15 site in Whippany, NJ. The objective of the GPR inspection was to determine the presence and location of voids and/or washouts behind below grade retaining walls, and to identify probable water flow paths. The survey was conducted for Lucent Technologies in cooperation with J. Guider & Associates, P.C. of Parsippany, New Jersey.
Research Study - Pavement/Concrete - Cincinnati

Concrete Inspection- Aruba
A ground penetrating radar (GPR) inspection was conducted at the Valero Aruba Refinery at the DC2 Coke production facility. The inspection was performed on the DC2 Coke Drop-out Pad and North Tower Slab with the objective of identifying locations of subsurface voids beneath the reinforced concrete slab and to calculate the under-sealing volume needed to fill these voids.

Bridge Deck - Pennsylvania
A ground penetrating radar (GPR) inspection of three bridge decks in Snyder and Northumberland County, PA, was conducted and the objective of the GPR inspection was to provide an up-to-date assessment of the physical condition of the concrete decks, including, quantity estimates of delaminated and debonded concrete. The survey was conducted for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, District 3-0.

Bridge Deck - Pennsylvania
A ground penetrating radar (GPR) inspection of two I-283 overpass bridge decks in Dauphin County, PA, was conducted and the objective of the GPR inspection was to provide an up-to-date assessment of the physical condition of the concrete decks, including, quantity estimates of delaminated concrete, repair areas (Type 2) and deficient reinforcement clearance. The survey was conducted for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, District 8-0 in care of Benatec Associates.
Bridge Deck - Pennsylvania
A ground penetrating radar (GPR) inspection of four SR 222 overpass bridge decks in Lancaster County, PA, was conducted and the objective of the GPR inspection was to provide an up-to-date assessment of the physical condition of the concrete decks, including, quantity estimates of delaminated concrete and estimates of repair quantities and estimated depth to the top mat of deck reinforcing. The survey was conducted for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, District 8-0.

Bridge Deck - Pennsylvania
Ground penetrating radar (GPR) inspection of four SR-422 and one SR-3039 bridge decks in Berks County, PA, was conducted and the objective of the GPR inspection was to provide an up-to-date assessment of the physical condition of the concrete decks, including quantity estimates of delaminated concrete, Type 2 repair areas, reinforcing steel depth, and scaling and asphalt overlay thickness for those decks with asphalt overlays. The survey was conducted for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, District 5-0 in cooperation with AECOM USA Inc.

Bridge Deck - Metro District - Minnesota
A ground penetrating radar (GPR) inspection of twenty three Metro bridge decks in Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN, was conducted and the objective of the GPR inspection was to provide an up-to-date assessment of the physical condition of the concrete decks, including quantity estimates of top and bottom delaminated concrete and Type 2 repair areas, . The survey was conducted for the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Bridge Deck - Connecticut
A ground penetrating radar (GPR) inspection of two bridge decks in New Haven County, CT, was conducted and the objective of the GPR inspection was to provide an up-to-date assessment of the physical condition of the concrete decks, including percentage estimates of top delaminated concrete, freeze-thaw damaged concrete and Type 2 repair areas. The survey was con-ducted for the Connecticut Department of Transportation District-5.
Bridge Deck - Metro District - Minnesota
A ground penetrating radar (GPR) inspection of eleven Metro, three District 1 and one District 3 bridge decks in Minneapolis/St. Paul, Duluth and Clearwater, MN, was conducted and the objective of the GPR inspection was to provide an up-to-date assessment of the physical condition of the concrete decks, including quantity estimates of delaminated concrete including bottom delamination only and Type 2 repair areas. The survey was conducted for the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Bridge Deck - Ontario, Canada
A ground penetrating radar (GPR) inspection of the Credit River bridge deck in Mississauga, Ontario, was conducted and the objectives of the GPR inspection were to provide an up-to-date assessment of the physical condition of the concrete deck, including the overall quantity of corrosion induced delaminated concrete within the bridge deck, to identify freeze-thaw damaged concrete (scaling), areas of debonded concrete and thickness of the concrete overlay. The survey was con-ducted for the Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO).

Object Detection - Erie Canal
A GPR survey was conducted on an area between the CSX tracks and the Porter Street off ramp to locate evidence of buried walls of the old Erie Canal.
Bridge Deck - Metro District
A ground penetrating radar (GPR) inspection of the TH-77 Cedar Avenue bridge decks, located in MNDOT Metro District, was conducted to determine Top & bottom delamination.
Bridge Deck - Delaware Memorial Bridge
Ground penetrating radar bridge deck survey to determine delamination on the Delaware Memorial Bridge in New Castle, DE and was conducted for the Delaware River & Bay Authority.
Parking Lot Investigation - Syracuse
GPR survey was conducted at a property located on Northern Blvd in Syracuse, NY to locate any underground storage tanks (UST) and investigate an area of a suspicious pipe extending from the building.
Floor Investigation - Trump Tower
Survey was performed in an apartment in the Trump Towers building in New York City to locate conduit and anomalies in the concrete floor at several locations.
Wall/Floor Inspection - Grain Elevators
A GPR survey was conducted to determine the presence of reinforcement in the elevator walls and underlying base slab in Buffalo, NY. The GPR survey was also performed to locate support piles that were believed to exist beneath the floor slab of the structure. This investigation consisted of a detailed scan of support columns and an area of interior floor to locate whether wood piles were present.
Bridge Deck - Throgs Neck Bridge
Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) inspection of the Throgs Neck Bridge deck in New York, NY, was conducted and the objective of the GPR inspection was to provide an up-to-date assessment of the physical condition of the concrete deck, including the overall quantity of deteriorated concrete within the bridge deck. The survey was conducted for Parsons and the Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority (TBTA).
Bridge Deck - Metro District - Minnesota
A ground penetrating radar (GPR) inspection of thirty one Metro bridge decks to determine top and bottom delaminated concrete and Type 2 repair areas, . The survey was conducted for the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Pavement Crack Study - Pennsylvania
The GPR study was setup to try and determine the possibility of locating vertical cracking below the surface of the asphalt. Pavement Thickness maps depicting the overall pavement depth were included.
Bridge Deck - Indiana
GPR Survey of eight bridge decks in Hammond, IN on I-90 to determine the asphalt overlay thickness on the bridge decks.
Pipeline Location - Niagara Falls
This project was a GPR survey of two National Fuel property areas and was performed to determine if grounding cables could be located along the buried pipeline.
Bridge Deck - Pennsylvania

Cambodia Airports - Pavement Evaluation
A ground penetrating radar (GPR) inspection of three airport runways located in the cities of Phnom Penh, Siem Reap and Sihanoukville, Cambodia.The GPR inspection was conducted to determine layer thickness of the runways, and the identification of areas of runway where there is a high probability of subsurface voids and/or high moisture content.
Bridge Deck - Betsy Ross Bridge
A ground penetrating radar (GPR) inspection of the Betsy Ross bridge deck and Richmond Street overpass ramp was conducted and the objectives of the GPR inspection were to provide an up-to-date assessment of the physical condition of the concrete decks, including the over-all quantity of corrosion induced delaminated concrete and to identify freeze-thaw damaged concrete (scaling), within the bridge deck. The survey was conducted for the Delaware River Port Authority (DRPA) in cooperation with Ammann & Whitney.

Construction Site Survey - Syracuse, NY
This was a survey performed utilizing the Model 301B antenna which surveyed an excavation site for anomalies and buried objects that would obstruct the digging at the construction site.
Bridge Deck - Pennsylvania
A ground penetrating radar (GPR) inspection of nineteen SR-309 bridge decks in Bucks County, PA, was conducted and the objectives of the GPR inspection were to provide an up-to-date assessment of the physical condition of the concrete and asphalt covered decks, including the overall quantity of corrosion induced delaminated concrete within the bridge, quantity of debonded and scaled concrete, determine reinforcing steel depth and asphalt overlay thickness on the asphalt covered bridge.
Bridge Deck - Pennsylvania
A ground penetrating radar (GPR) inspection of the SR 2003 over Swarta Creek/RR bridge deck and approach slabs in Dauphin County, PA, was conducted and the objectives of the GPR inspection were to provide an up-to-date assessment of the physical condition of the concrete deck including the overall quantity of corrosion induced delaminated concrete within the bridge and approaches and to determine the average reinforcing steel depth. The survey was conducted for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, District 8-0 in cooperation with Erdman Anthony.
Pavement Study - New York
A ground penetrating radar (GPR) survey was conducted on the I-86 Southern Tier Expressway, to detect subsurface voids, moisture accumulation and other subsurface anomalies. The survey included approximately 12.5 centerline miles (50 lane-miles).
Bridge Deck - Newport Bridge, RI
This Bridge Deck survey was performed to determine the depth of cover over the top rebar on the Newport Bridge in Rhode Island.
Rochester Airport Parking Ramp
A ground penetrating radar (GPR) inspection of the 3rd level parking deck at the Greater Rochester International Airport, located in Monroe County, NY, was conducted and the objective of the GPR inspection was to provide an up-to-date assessment of the physical condition of the concrete deck, including the determination of the location and overall percentage of deteriorated concrete within the parking deck. The survey was conducted for the Greater Rochester International Airport, in cooperation with Passero Associates.
Infrared HMA Study - Harrisburg, PA
The study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of Infrared Thermography in determining variations in temperature of the freshly paved asphalt, during and after the paving operation.
Utility Location - Niagara Falls, NY
A section of the roadway was surveyed to detect the presence of underground utilities prior to excavation.
Bridge Deck - Waterport Bridge
A ground penetrating radar (GPR) inspection of the RT-279 over Oak Orchard Creek bridge deck in Orleans County, NY, was conducted and the objectives of the GPR inspection were to provide an up-to-date assessment of the physical condition of the asphalt covered concrete deck including the overall quantity of corrosion induced delaminated concrete and quantity of scaled concrete within the bridge. The survey was conducted for Orleans County, in cooperation with Labella Associates.
Bridge Deck - Williamsport, PA
A ground penetrating radar (GPR) inspection of two I-180 bridge decks in Lycoming County, PA, was conducted and the objectives of the GPR inspection were to provide an up-to-date assessment of the physical condition of the concrete decks, including the overall quantity of corrosion induced delaminated concrete within the bridge. The survey was conducted for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, District 3-0.
Rebar Location - New York City
A GPR survey was conducted at two New York City park locations, (1) Promenade over FDR (E79th-E91st Street) and (2) East Drive Bridge over Transverse Road in Manhattan, New York, to determine the presence, distribution and depth of reinforcement for different components of the bridge structure.
Utility Location - Buffalo, NY
Locating utilities and anomalies at the University at Buffalo medical construction site which included several parking lots, sidewalks, street area and building areas. The main focus was to determine the utility locations entering the buildings.
Parking Lot Site Survey - Buffalo, NY
A GPR survey was conducted at an auto dealership located on Delaware Avenue in Buffalo, New York to detect the presence of possible Underground Storage Tanks (UST) within an asphalt paved section of the parking lot.
Bridge Deck - Pennsylvania

Bridge Deck - New York
A ground penetrating radar (GPR) inspection of three bridge decks in Monroe County, NY was conducted and the objectives of the GPR inspection were to provide an up-to-date assessment of the physical condition of the decks (two asphalt covered), including the overall quantity of corrosion induced delaminated concrete and quantity of scaled concrete within the bridge. The survey was conducted for Monroe County, in cooperation with Labella Associates.

Bridge Deck (GPR & IRT) - Missouri
A ground penetrating radar (GPR) & infrared (IRT) inspection of thirty-six bridge decks in Platte, Jackson & Buchanan County, MO, was conducted and the objectives of the GPR & IRT inspection were to provide an up-to-date assessment of the physical condition of the concrete decks, including the overall quantity of corrosion induced deteriorated concrete within the bridges and identification of locations where repairs may be required. The survey was conducted for the Missouri Department of Transportation.
Pavement Inspection - North Carolina
A ground penetrating radar (GPR) survey was conducted on Interstate 85 to detect deterioration of the CRP pavement and to measure the thickness of the asphalt overlay. The survey included approximately 7 centerline miles (28 lane-miles) of northbound and southbound lanes on I-85.
Infrared HMA Study - Williamsport, PA
The study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of Infrared Thermography in determining variations in temperature of the freshly paved asphalt, during and after the paving operation.
Bridge Deck (IRT) - St. Louis - MLK Bridge
An infrared thermographic (IRT) inspection of the Martin Luther King bridge deck spanning the Mississippi River, located in St. Louis City County, MO and St. Clair County, IL, was conducted and the objectives of the IRT inspection were to provide an up-to-date assessment of the physical condition of the concrete deck, including the overall quantity of corrosion induced deteriorated concrete within the bridge and identification of locations where repairs may be required. The survey was conducted for the Illinois Department of Transportation and Missouri Department of Transportation in cooperation with Lin Engineering and Modjeski and Masters.

Bridge Deck - Scudder Falls Bridge
An inspection using nondestructive testing (NDT) methods was conducted on the I-95/Scudder Falls bridge deck in Bucks County, PA & Mercer County, NJ. The inspection consisted of a ground penetrating radar (GPR) survey, deck soundings, using chain-drag and sounding rods and an underside visual distress inspection. The deck underside inspection was conducted with an Under Bridge Inspection Unit (“Snooper”). Locations of distress were video logged and later translated to deck plans. The objectives of the NDT inspection were to provide an up-to-date assessment of the physical condition of the concrete deck, including the overall quantity of deteriorated concrete and identification of locations where repairs may be required.
Floor Inspection - Fairpoint, NY
A GPR survey was conducted at the Arctic Glacier Ice plant located at in Fairport, New York to determine reinforcement placement (depth and spacing) and thickness of the concrete floor slab, between the basement and first level of the building.
Bridge Deck - Garden State Parkway - New Jersey
A ground penetrating radar (GPR) survey was conducted on twelve New Jersey Authority bridges along the mainline of the Garden State Parkway and local roads crossing over the Garden State Parkway to measure the thickness of the asphalt overlay. Pavement thickness of the asphalt overlay was collected on a per lane basis with two continuous lines of radar data for each lane and one line of radar data for shoulders less than ten feet. The survey was conducted for PKB Engineering.
Bridge Deck - Blue Water Bridge - Michigan
A ground penetrating radar (GPR) inspection of the Blue Water Bridge deck was conducted by Penetradar Corporation and the inspection included a GPR survey of the westbound lanes from the USA/Canada border to the west abutment of the bridge. The objectives of the GPR inspection were to provide an up-to-date assessment of the physical condition of the concrete deck. This included the detection of delaminated concrete that may be present at the top and bottom reinforcement, as well as estimates of repair quantities and identification of locations requiring repair. The GPR inspection also determined the depth of the top reinforcing steel and the total thickness of the concrete deck (excluding the asphalt overlay). The survey was conducted for the Michigan Department of Transportation and Parsons Transportation Group Inc. of Michigan.
Site Survey - Lewiston, NY
A GPR survey was conducted by Penetradar Corporation at the New York Power Authority facility located in Lewiston, NY to detect the presence of subsurface utilities and other anomalies in the vicinity of an excavation site.
Theodore Roosevelt Bridge - Washington DC
A ground penetrating radar (GPR) inspection of the Theodore Roosevelt Memorial bridge deck was conducted by Penetradar Corporation and the inspection included a GPR survey of the entire bridge deck including ramps (A,C, D, E, F, J). The objectives of the GPR inspection were to provide an up-to-date assessment of the physical condition of the concrete deck. This included the detection of delaminated concrete that may be present at the top reinforcement and identification of locations requiring repair. The survey was conducted for the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) and TY Lin International.
Pavement Inspection - Metro District Minnesota
A GPR survey was conducted by Penetradar Corporation to determine pavement layer thickness and pavement condition on 153.4 lane-miles of asphalt and PCC mainline and shoulder pavement in eleven locations around the Minneapolis, MN area. This included 52.22 lane-miles on the US-169, 3.36 lane-miles on I-94, 17.36 lane-miles on I-494, 5.5 lane-miles on MN-5, 5.88 lane-miles on US-52 and 69.04 lane-miles on I-35 and I-35 E and W. Subsequent to the GPR testing, core drilling was also performed at these locations to calibrate the GPR pavement thickness measurements. All work was conducted for the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Site Survey - Tonawanda, New York
A GPR survey was conducted by Penetradar Corporation to locate all underground utilities at designated boring locations throughout a the parking lot of a business. Detection utilities were marked out on site to aid in the boring process.
Bridge Deck - Sunbury, Pennsylvania
A ground penetrating radar (GPR) inspection of a State Route 61 bridge deck (180,000 sqft) in Northumberland County, PA, was conducted and the objectives of the GPR inspection were to provide an up-to-date assessment of the physical condition of the concrete deck, including the overall quantity of corrosion induced delaminated concrete within the bridge and quantity of debonded concrete, The survey was conducted for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, District 3-0.
Bridge Deck - Interstate 190 - Buffalo, New York
A nondestructive inspection of the I-190 Niagara Thruway bridge deck was conducted and included three northbound and three southbound mainline lanes from Main Street to Court Street & Fuhrman Blvd Interchange and the northbound and south-bound ramps to/from Church Street. The nondestructive inspection was performed using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and Infrared Thermography (IRT) combined with high resolution video imaging of the bridge deck surface, all of which were performed at highway speed. The objectives of this inspection were to provide an up-to-date assessment of the physical condition of the concrete deck, including the quantity of delaminated and deteriorated concrete within the bridge deck as well as the cover depth of the top and bottom reinforcement, thicknesses of the concrete overlay and thickness of the deck. The nondestructive inspection was conducted for the New York State Thruway Authority in cooperation with Fisher Associates.
Site Survey - Lewiston, New York
A GPR survey was conducted by Penetradar Corporation at the New York Power Authority facility located in Lewiston, NY at two locations to detect the presence of subsurface utilities at one site and the location of underground storage tanks at the other site. For the survey, a 300MHz IRIS-MP (man-portable) GPR system was used. The IRIS-MP is a mobile, self-contained low frequency GPR system with the ability to penetrate and detect objects to depths greater than nine feet. Preliminary analysis of the GPR data were performed on-site and later at Penetradar’s facilities using ColorPro software, a specialized analysis software package developed for measurement and analysis of GPR data.
Pavement Inspection - Arkwright, New York
A Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) survey was conducted by Penetradar Corporation to determine pavement and base layer thickness and condition as well as irregularities and anomalies in the subgrade on 8 miles of pavement located in Arkwright, NY. All work was conducted for Fisher Associates.
Pavement Inspection - Rush County, Indiana
A Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) survey was conducted by Penetradar Corporation to determine pavement and base layer thickness and condition as well as irregularities and anomalies in the subgrade on 26 roadways comprising 76 miles of pavement located in Rush and Henry Counties, Indiana. All work was conducted for Fisher Associates.
Tunnel Inspection - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Penetradar Corporation conducted a nondestructive inspection of the Liberty and Armstrong Tunnels (224,000 sqft) with the objective of determining the condition of the tunnel liner utilizing Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and Infrared Thermography (IRT) techniques in combination with High Resolution Video Imaging. GPR was utilized to identify areas of delaminated and deteriorated concrete, voids behind the liner and areas of high moisture concentration within the liner and behind the liner. The IRT technique was used to locate areas of potential water flow and wet liner surfaces, debonded tiles, and delaminated concrete, where possible. High resolution images of the tunnel liner were also produced for comparison with the subsurface information generated by GPR and IRT. This work was conducted for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and Mackin Engineering as part of SHRP2 Implementation Assistance Program for Project R06G, Nondestructive Testing for Tunnel Linings.
Site Survey - Wellsville, New York
A GPR survey was conducted by Penetradar Corporation at the Current Controls facility located in Wellsville, NY. The survey was performed to detect the presence of pipes, buried tanks and any other subsurface anomalies.
Bridge Decks - Garden State Parkway - New Jersey
A ground penetrating radar (GPR) survey was conducted on eleven New Jersey Authority bridges along the Garden State Parkway and local roads crossing over the Garden State Parkway to measure the thickness of the asphalt overlay. Pavement thickness of the asphalt overlay was collected on a per lane basis with two continuous lines of radar data for each lane and one line of radar data for shoulders less than ten feet. The survey was conducted for PKB Engineering.
Bridge Deck - Monroe County Airport, Rochester, NY
A ground penetrating radar (GPR) survey was conducted on the Greater Rochester International Airport (GRIA) Departure Terminal Viaduct to determine the concrete cover of the reinforcement wire fabric. The survey was conducted for Ramsey Constructors, Inc.
Bridge Deck - Yankee Doodle Bridge - Norwalk, CT
A ground penetrating radar (GPR) inspection of the Interstate 95 bridge deck (96,100 sqft) in Norwalk, CT (Yankee Doodle Bridge), was conducted with the objectives to provide an up‐to‐date assessment of the physical condition of the concrete deck, including the overall quantity of corrosion induced delaminated concrete within the bridge and identification of locations where repairs may be required. The survey was conducted for STV Incorporated and the Connecticut Department of Transportation.

Bridge Deck - Towanda, Pennsylvania
A ground penetrating radar (GPR) inspection of the State Route 6 bridge deck (82,000 sqft) in Bradford County, PA, was conducted with the objectives to provide an up‐to‐date assessment of the physical condition of the concrete deck, including the overall quantity of corrosion induced delaminated concrete within the bridge and identification of locations where repairs may be required. The survey was conducted for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, District 3‐0.
Bridge Deck - Veterans Memorial Bridge - PA
A nondestructive inspection of the Veterans Memorial Bridge deck (252,966 sqft) along State Route 462 in Columbia‐Wrightsville, PA, was performed using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) combined with high resolution video imaging of the bridge deck surface, all of which were performed at the minimum posted speed. The objectives of the GPR inspection were to provide an up‐to‐date assessment of the physical condition of the concrete deck, including the overall quantity of corrosion induced delaminated concrete within the bridge as well as the depth to the top reinforcement. The survey was conducted for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, District 8‐0, in cooperation with RK&K.

Pavement Inspection - I-85 - South Carolina
A section of Interstate 85 pavement, located between Spartanburg and Gaffney, SC was inspected using ground penetrating radar (GPR). The objective of the survey was the measurement of the in-situ asphalt pavement thickness. The inspection consisted of a total of 90.2 lane-miles of I-85 pavement. This inspection was conducted for Lane Construction Inc. The GPR inspection results provided tabulated thicknesses of the asphalt pavement and a corresponding plan-view mapping of pavement thickness in CAD format. The tabulated thickness was provided as a spreadsheet file with total asphalt thickness reported on a five-foot distance interval.
