Bridge Deck - Towanda, Pennsylvania

A ground penetrating radar (GPR) inspection of the State Route 6 bridge deck (82,000 sqft) in Bradford County, PA, was conducted with the objectives to provide an up‐to‐date assessment of the physical condition of the concrete deck, including the overall quantity of corrosion induced delaminated concrete within the bridge and identification of locations where repairs may be required. The survey was conducted for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, District 3‐0.

Bridge Deck - Veterans Memorial Bridge - PA

A nondestructive inspection of the Veterans Memorial Bridge deck (252,966 sqft) along State Route 462 in Columbia‐Wrightsville, PA, was performed using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) combined with high resolution video imaging of the bridge deck surface, all of which were performed at the minimum posted speed. The objectives of the GPR inspection were to provide an up‐to‐date assessment of the physical condition of the concrete deck, including the overall quantity of corrosion induced delaminated concrete within the bridge as well as the depth to the top reinforcement. The survey was conducted for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, District 8‐0, in cooperation with RK&K.

Site Survey - Lewiston, NY

A GPR survey was conducted by Penetradar Corporation  at the New York Power Authority facility located in Lewiston, NY to detect the presence of subsurface utilities and other anomalies in the vicinity of an excavation site.

Pavement Inspection - I-85 - South Carolina

A section of Interstate 85 pavement, located between Spartanburg and Gaffney, SC was inspected using ground penetrating radar (GPR). The objective of the survey was the measurement of the in-situ asphalt pavement thickness. The inspection consisted of a total of 90.2 lane-miles of I-85 pavement. This inspection was conducted for Lane Construction Inc. The GPR inspection results provided tabulated thicknesses of the asphalt pavement and a corresponding plan-view mapping of pavement thickness in CAD format. The tabulated thickness was provided as a spreadsheet file with total asphalt thickness reported on a five-foot distance interval.
